First of all, congratulations are in order. Together, we proved that “politics as usual” is not invincible, that although being outspent 37-to-1, your passion for true representation could not be extinguished. You proved that The People are ready to embrace their power once more. The primary is over but the momentum continues to grow.

We are going to make some changes as we move forward:

Claudia’s campaign committee has decided to retire this website as of July 31, 2010. We appreciate all your comments and involvement with the campaign. If you would like to keep in touch with Claudia Wright, please feel free to friend her directly on Facebook or take note her contact information.

We are also pleased to announce a new organization created out of the energy and spirit of Claudia’s campaign, called Citizens Empowered! If you would like to be a part of this new group, please come on over to our brand new Facebook page and help us continue to make history by inspiring ordinary citizens to create change in their communities.

Thank you once again for the time, energy, contributions, love, sweat, laughter and tears you brought to the campaign over the last few months. We came together and did what we did against formidable opposition and seemingly impossible odds. We won before we even started and we will win again by continuing to create a new kind of politics that we all know is possible. All of it was worthwhile and we can stand strong together moving forward. Thank you everyone.
